The IRS has mandated that all debit cards used to administer qualified fringe benefits must adhere to the guidelines set forth by the, terminal restricting, IRS Ruling 2006 – 57 effective January 2010. Accor’s compliance team has worked diligently since the inception of the Commuter Check Card to fully ensure that it not only meets but exceeds the requirements through exhaustive research, qualification of individual terminals and rigorous field testing in advance of the deadline. The Commuter Check Card allows you to provide a fully compliant, terminal restricted debit card to administer pre-tax transit benefits (which the IRS has agreed meets their requirements) with total confidence in advance of the deadline.
